About Pat

My background as a career prosecutor has given me the necessary skills to continue to serve the people of Lake County as judge.  I have been employed as a prosecutor for 18 years, with the last 14 years in Lake County. In my 18 years as a prosecutor, I have prosecuted murderers, rapists, robbers, burglars, and drug dealers.  I have seen firsthand how the heroin/opiate crisis is devastating our communities.  I have argued numerous appeals to the 11th District Court of Appeals and have argued before the Ohio Supreme Court.

On a professional level, I was appointed by the Ohio Supreme Court to be on the Board of Professional Conduct, where I was involved in adjudicating formal complaints of misconduct involving judges and lawyers and making recommendations to the Supreme Court on the appropriate sanction.  I am a member of the Lake County Notary Commission and was the chair or co-chair of 2 committees of the Lake County Bar Association.  These experiences have prepared me to continue my public service as your next judge.

On the personal side, I am the youngest of 5 boys.  I graduated from St. Peter Chanel High School, Miami University, and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

I have been married to my wife, Amanda Condon, for 18 years and have 2 teenage boys.  I enjoy running and triathlons.  I also enjoy following my wife’s running as well as my children’s athletic and academic pursuits.  I am a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports fan.
